Eli and Alannis were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend. Eli first called Alannis on July 9th, 2023, to set up the blind date, and the two met in person for the first time the next day, July 10th, at Horsefeather in San Francisco. What started as casual drinks on a Monday night turned into home cooked dinner on Tuesday, candle making on Wednesday, gardening on Thursday, and a park picnic on Friday. The two ended up hanging out for almost 2 weeks straight following that first date, and have been together since. Eli and Alannis got married at City Hall in San Francisco on August 7th, 2025.
